The blog
Manchester is bursting at the seams with things to see and do during a city break. It’s a city where you’ll leave and already begin planning your return to see the things you couldn’t quite fit into your first trip. Thankfully, Manchester is a relatively small city where you can walk from one side to the other in around 40 minutes. With a stay at CitySuites, you’ll be right in the heart of it all so nowhere is too far away…
For a limited time only, CitySuites has created a fantastic 2-3 night accommodation package, perfect for all families with free extras worth over £75 a night! Included in the deal is free cooked breakfast buffet for 2 adults and 2 children, free secure city centre parking during the entire stay and free cancellation (as we know how important flexibility is when having a young family) when booking our Family Summer Getaway Deal.
Was From £350 a night. NOW FROM £260 a night.
Where to stay?
With so much to see and do in Manchester, it’s hard to decide upon the things you really want to do. The easy part? Choosing where to stay. CitySuites is located in the heart of Manchester city centre, our neighbours are the city’s more recognisable destinations.
Here at CitySuites, we offer a wide selection of apartments. From studio apartments to two bedroom apartments, we have something for everyone.
CitySuites is Manchester’s only aparthotel with an 18m swimming pool. Unwind with a few laps followed by a peaceful pause in our jacuzzi.

Somewhere to eat?
Manchester’s culinary culture is thriving! Each week the city welcomes a new concept in dining. Microbreweries, gastropubs, bars and restaurants all trying to get a bite of the action in the city. From fine dining to humble street food, we really do have it all here.
Our top picks…
Tattu: Fine dining
Spinningfields is a real hotbed for celebratory drinks and fine dining. For unrivalled contemporary Chinese cuisine, we recommend making the 5-minute taxi journey to Tattu. Step into one of Manchester most exciting dining experiences. Go on a sensory journey from east to west in stunning surroundings with incredible tasting (and looking) dishes.
VietShack: Casual
Find yourself near Ancoats during your stay or fancy a 20 minute wander to one of the most flavoursome spots around? From humble beginnings as a stall across the road at the Manchester Arndale’s food market to queues out of the door at their dedicated restaurant, VietShack perfects Vietnamese street food with a modern twist. Our recommendation, delve into their selection of small dishes or try Com Thit Bobut you need to leave room for their quack fries. Heavenly.

Six by Nico: Fine dining
Every six weeks the menu will receive an overhaul where another 6-course experience awaits. ‘The Chippie’ is a nod to the classic British fish and chip shop however we’re pretty certain you won’t have seen it delivered in such a contemporary manner before.
This is the first time chef Nico Simeone has brought his concept to England having already wowed diners in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast. Those in the culinary know were so excited about the arrival of the concept to the city, they received 3000 reservations before the doors had even opened.

Getting around
Don’t fancy the walk? Within the city centre, ‘Free Bus’ provide a free ‘hop on, hop off’ service that links the city’s main train stations, shopping destinations and business areas.
Spotted our yellow trams? Metrolink will link you to destinations across the region.

The Manchester City stadium tour is currently rated as the 5thbest ‘thing to do’ in the whole of Manchester on TripAdvisor.
Step back in time and visit the world’s biggest and best football museum. The National football museum can be seen from CitySuites and is just a 4-minute walk from our doorsteps!
Take on the crystal maze
It’s the popular 90s TV show but this time you’re the contestant - a totally immersive experience and one of the most enjoyable activities in the city. Located right between the Museum of Science and Industry and the soon-to-be-brand-new St John’s Development, The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is the ultimate team experience.
