Manchester has been named as one of the best Christmas markets in the UK numerous times - and with good reason! The mood shifts into a yuletide dream as lots of stalls and attractions transform the city into a wintery wonderland.

The city's holiday markets are all-in-all an exciting event to look forward to every year.

Hamilton: Multi-Award Winning Musical

November 11th - February 25th (2024)

Created by the wordsmith Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton tells the tale of America's Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton.

The gripping story focuses on camaraderie, adventure and fighting inequality through a number of engaging musical numbers. What sets Hamilton apart is its hip-hop and rap-inspired show tunes, paired with a fairly educational musical that highlights America's presidential history.

We can only say so much, though. It's an entirely different experience watching it live, so book your tickets today!

Manchester Animation Festival

November 12th - November 17th

This November, watch out for Manchester's Animation Festival. Its 9th edition continues to celebrate the growing world of animation, taking place across various venues in Manchester. Don't think you can make it? The festival is also hosting its event online!

A niche event for sure, but animation has been and will continue to be a strong part of media. So, whether you're an animation fan or not, there's something to look forward to at Manchester's Animation Festival. Book yours today.

2:22: A Ghost Story: Award-Winning Theatre

November 2nd - November 4th

Of course, it wouldn't be November without some sort of Halloween-related scheme to keep things spooky. While the month is reserved for the likes of Bonfire Night (which, unfortunately, will not continue in Manchester) and building excitement for December, it's still a relatively safe month for all things Halloween.

We highly recommend 2:22: A Ghost Story. A winner of the best new play at the WhatsOn Stage Awards and featuring some of the well-known artists of our time (such as Nathaniel Curtis from The Witcher, and Louisa Lytton from Eastenders), 2:22: A Ghost Story is a thrilling narrative with humourous plot points and suspenseful twists.

West-End Musicals At Manchester Cathedral

November 4th

A unique experience brought to you by the Candlelight concerts comes London's West End right at Manchester Cathedral.

Hits from the likes of Aladdin, West Side Story and Guys and Dolls are just some of the many performances by four stars of the West End - including a full band and a theatrical atmosphere that creates a fantastic musical experience for the whole family!

 A Fulfilling November!

To say November is packed full of things for you to do this year is an understatement - considering it's the month right after October's half-term.

Needless to say, there are plenty of experiences to look forward to for families, it's worth checking at least one event listed above.

What better way to spend November than choosing CitySuites as your central stay? With the ideal location, you can be at your next November event in a quick taxi away. Or, you can also look into Manchester's great transport system for a reliable way to get around the city! Either way, a CitySuites stay is the right way to stay.

Book your stay and take in what Manchester has to offer this month.
