The blog
From the start of July bars, restaurants & cafes can welcome customers over the threshold (hooray!)
However, if like us you can’t wait any longer for a delicious meal, you may want to give some of these local Manchester eateries a try…
Breakfast
Life, within doors, has few pleasanter prospects than a neatly-arranged and well-provisioned breakfast-table.
Grindsmith
This cool spot has everything you need to start your day. The coffee is to-die-for & the breakfast menu offers a range of sweet & savoury options guaranteed to satisfy adults & children alike. Our recommendation? Go for the C.B.L.T, we promise you won’t be disappointed. Visit the Grindsmith Coffee Website here to find your nearest coffee shop.

Koffee Pot
Fancy something a bit different? This well-known Northern Quarter brunch spot is offering breakfast kits you can cook & assemble at home. Order before 3pm on Thursday & your order will arrive the following day. It's as simple as that! Find out more here.

Pollen Bakery
Nestled in New Islington Marina, this Ancoats bakery is now open for orders. We recommend ordering croissants for collection on a Saturday morning than enjoying them by the water. Top tip: they also make croissant butter which is as good as it sounds.

Lunch & Dinner
Viet Shak
If you are in the mood for something fresh & vibrant, we cannot recommend Viet Shak enough. Each dish offers a unique burst of flavour – perfect for a summer afternoon! Our recommendation? Goi Tom Ga: a zingy, refreshing salad with chicken, mango & a chilli lime dressing.

Rudy’s
If you don’t try a Rudy’s pizza whilst in Manchester, you’ve missed out. Voted as the best pizza in the UK, Rudy’s has become famous for its Neapolitan style pizzas with 24 hour double fermented dough. Tip: Whether ordering for delivery or pick up, waiting times can be long so be prepared.

WOOD
Special occasions deserve a special meal! To celebrate lockdown coming to an end why not order from fine dining restaurant WOOD. The food even comes with plating instructions, so you feel like you’ve created the dishes yourself.
Drinks
Federal
Open until 6pm, Federal offers a wide variety of drinks to satisfy all cravings. From coffee to cocktails to homemade lemonade, it’s the perfect spot for a drink – morning or evening!

Evelyn’s
Thankfully, this popular restaurant & bar has reopened to offer a takeaway service during lockdown. To get some relief from the heat, we recommend trying the frozen coconut mojito!

Flok
During the start of lockdown, Flok stayed open whilst operating as an off license. Now that the sun is shining, they also offer refreshing take away pints. Located in the heart of Stevenson Square, it’s the perfect pit stop during an afternoon stroll.
