Easter is nearly upon us: with thoughts of easter egg hunts, the arrival of the easter bunny, and mountains of egg-shaped chocolate treats, there’s no doubt that children are excited for this holiday (not to mention bank holidays for students and others!).
But Easter doesn’t have to be just about these common things. Events in Manchester alone during Easter boast a wide range of activities that your friends or whole family can enjoy!
The Easter bank holiday in the UK starts on the 7th of April (also known as Good Friday) and until the 10th of April (also known as Easter Monday). There are many events around this Easter weekend, but dates surrounding this holiday also contain a few activities everyone can get excited about.

Kids adVentures are hosting its own “forest school” site in Prestwich, which will have children learning through the outdoors all day. This event is located in Prestwich, in a place named Kersal Dale Woodlands.
Children can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities that will let them experience something different, have the freedom to be as energetic as they want to be, and learn about having fun outdoors!
Different activities include nature walks, forest crafts and story making.

The Salford community leisure has submitted an event about crafting paper flowers, which will be ideal for families and craft enthusiasts! Craft Social: Paper Flowers will have Salford’s local artist Caroline Coats for an evening of entertainment every month, learn new crafting skills and enjoy complimentary tea and coffee.
Materials are provided in a wide range of colours and upcycled paper options. You can create long-lasting bouquets with beautiful paper flowers. Fun, fascinating and an eco-friendly way to reuse any paper you have lying around.

Can we even call it Easter without including Easter eggs? This FREE family activity by Inspiring Communities Together involves you and your children painting and decorating egg shapes in a place called Yogurt Pots, right in Salford.
The activities in this event welcome all primary school-aged children, but younger or older children are also welcome to take part as a family group (as long as they are supervised by an adult).
