CitySuites is proud to officially launch our SuperSuites luxury penthouse apartments in Manchester city centre, located on the top floors of CitySuites II.
To celebrate the launch of our city centre penthouses, we held a special event on Thursday 7th July, inviting key figures and partners from across Manchester to view our SuperSuites and dine in Embankment Kitchen for an incredible 5-course meal.
More than 70 people joined us for a drinks reception on our 14th floor Manchester penthouse from 7pm, showing off all the exceptional mod cons of the suite, as well as panoramic views of the city, including Manchester Cathedral, Printworks and the Arndale, from the balcony.
We were joined for the reception by the wonderful Charlie Cooper, who performed a gorgeous set while our guests explored the penthouse, which comes with a SieMatic kitchen, BORA oven, Lutron electric blinds, home theatre lighting system, Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a walk-in steam shower room.
After the drinks reception, guests were invited down to Embankment Kitchen where head chef Marika Healey and the EK team prepared and served an incredible 5-course meal to a packed restaurant.
To start, there was a sharing platter of our current Summer Menu starters, including buttermilk chicken in our house spiced sticky sauce and samphire tempura prawns.
The pasta course showcased Embankment Kitchen’s Italian flair with Paccheri pasta served with San Marzano, chilli, garlic & mascarpone sauce, as well as a fresh vegan Penne pasta with lemon & tenderstem broccoli.
For the fish course, guests enjoyed a pan roasted sea bass fillet with asparagus and a chilli and saffron risotto.
A deconstructed beef or mushroom (ve) wellington was served for the main, accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes, heritage carrot, and mushroom & fennel duxelles.
Finally, a duo of desserts were offered to end the meal on a deliciously sweet note: our Chocolate Nemesis, a rich chocolate flourless cake with chocolate soil and homemade raspberry ice cream; and Strawberry, Amaretto & White Chocolate Tiramisu with champagne jelly & meringue.
